The Heart and Soul Behind the Chair: Meet Mona
My journey into the world of beauty began with a leap of faith. After graduating with a degree in Environmental Science, I realized my true calling wasn’t in a lab, but behind the stylist’s chair. In 2001, I followed my passion, completed my professional training, and opened my very first salon in the heart of Tehran.
For 12 wonderful years, I built more than just a business; I built a community of loyal clients who traveled from near and far. But life had a new chapter waiting for me in Canada.
Moving to a new country brought its challenges, but my love for hair never wavered. I worked hard to earn my license from the Ontario College of Trades within my first two years. To truly understand the Canadian beauty landscape, I spent nearly seven years honing my craft in various salons across Downtown Toronto, Richmond Hill, Aurora, and Newmarket—ranging from established franchises to boutique private studios.
In 2019, I finally realized my dream: Mona Hair Salon was born. Despite the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 lockdowns shortly after opening, my passion and the incredible support of my loyal clients kept us standing. Today, I bring over two decades of international experience and a deep love for hair to every person who walks through my door.
